On May 26, 2016, a Franklin County court ordered that the insurer InHealth Mutual, Ohio’s only Consumer Oriented and Operated Plan (CO-OP), be liquidated. The court appointed the Ohio Insurance Commissioner Mary Taylor to be the receiver of InHealth and to continue to operate the company while it is winding down. The court order leaves 22,000 Ohio InHealth policy-holders to find new insurance. One quarter of them live in Central Ohio. You can learn more about the InHealth liquidation by clicking here.
