MARIETTA - In just eight days insurance companies will no longer be able to drop health coverage on policyholders who become sick, and health plans cannot refuse to sell health insurance to children with pre-existing conditions, thanks to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act passed by Congress in March.

On September 23, 2010 the New Patient's Bill of Rights go into effect!
